| It makes no difference to me if you don’t want to carry or don’t think it’s necessary. But don’t make those of us who do out to be paranoid freaks.
I personally have had 2 encounters where I probably would have been justified in drawing a gun. But the gun is the absolute last resort and is only used when major bodily harm or deadly threats are aimed at myself or anyone else.
There are idiots that carry guns. George Zimmerman comes to mind. De escalate, evade, avoid. If those fail then at least you have the chance to defend yourself. If someone is looking for a reason to use their gun they shouldn’t be carrying. | |
