Wouldn't scare me at all to go down from where you are at. If I could plant everything in one day and choose my exact emerged population. I would want every bean planted June 1, and have a final even stand of 100K. Seems to work well in our area. Could still grow 65+ bu. beans, but yet have some flexibility if you have a really dry summer.
