| The new Ertl/Tomy ones are junk. Plastic front axle and thin stamped steel final drives. I've had to put an aftermarket steel wide front under one and weld the axles back together on 2 of my boys. The third one is a Scale Models. Made in America with the old school cast rear axle. It's a narrow front so no front axle issues. I can't say the wide vs narrow steers any different. I just know you buy Scale Models or find an old one to restore.
