We seem to be doing a good job of remembering. In recent years, ceremonies have expanded and are done well.

But.....there are only a relative few D-Day vets left. Natural life end is taking them. I hope we will do as good a job remembering all of them when all of them are gone.

It is still something to consider that back "then", many of our soldiers and their soldiers were shooting at their own cousins, and maybe brothers. Lots of first generation immigrant families involved in the wars.
