Deer Creek, IL | I have been working ground (barely) ahead of my dad in the planter in conditions we would never dream of touching in April. Dad would call to say he's finishing up the field he's in and ask how it looked by me. I had the same response every time: The calendar and forecast both say its ready to plant!
We're doing some questionable things this year, but corn planted wet still makes a higher yeild than corn in the bag. I will say, though, that digging mud off the planter for 2 hours one morning was a reality check. lol | |
