Subject: Cattle between Hog Sheds

Central IL
Looking into getting 2 or 3 angus steers to raise for freezer beef for the family and have a couple of questions.

How much "pasture" would a couple steers need. Have a old empty open front hog shed with about .5 acre of grass adjacent to it. Would it be better to kill the grass and plant some sort of a pasture mix instead? Currently raise hogs so supplementing with corn is not an issue, but how much corn should be fed each day? How should the corn be presented?

Would being between 2 1300 hd hog barns poise any disease risk for either animal?

Thanks
