The issues is there is no positive lock on the latch of a quick hitch and occasionally the latch on a quick hitch will release the pin due to the upward force on the latch; this is like pulling a wagon without a safety pin, most of the time you will not have a problem but when you do it can be a really big mess and wreck a lot of stuff.
