north west arkansas
Flooding is a bad deal and we are gonna suffer major losses. We are smack dab in the middle of a 500 year flood event and broke the all time high record by 3'. We are currently just a fraction under 41' which is 19' over flood stage. No clue how this all plays out because we have rain in the forcast all next week with some of it being heavy rain. We started running a week ago Tuesday and ran up until 11pm this last Tuesday but got everything salvaged or moved to higher ground that we could. It's looking like 2019 on the crop side could be a zero and was hoping cattle would bail us out. If I'd just keep of Nat so I didn't know the cattle market was tanking I could still believe that. Local salebarn has 6' of whater in the sale ring last I heard. I ran to Tulsa yesterday and it's just a wall of water from here to there.
