Subject: Anybody have a “flushing bar” on their mower tractor?

SW “Ohia”
Hello All,

I’ve always hated to see wildlife hurt when mowing hay. Our quail population is struggling as it is, and I don’t like to complain about something without making an effort on my part to fix it. In a typical year we scare up countless rabbits, deer, turkeys, quail, grouse, various furbearers, etc.

I’ve seen lots of pictures online of homemade flushing bar setups that mount to the front of the tractor and have chains hanging down to scare birds and wildlife out of the grass. Considering building one.

Curious if anybody on here runs one and could post some pictures/idea of how they have it set up. It must be easily foldable for road travel. We mow with 3-point disc mowers because they fold up narrow for our billygoat roads.
