If MCOOL would have stayed cattle prices today would be the same as they are by now
The difference is we would have 2 million or more cows in the USA and Canada than we do now.
That would be a good thing.
Why? Imports don't compete. Domestic does. 2 million head would effectively lower the live price by at least 10 if not 20 cents. I'll take less cattle over more. |
