I've planted a lot of acres with the same setup too, and never had a problem, until this planter. I'm not new at this. I've rebuilt and repaired several planters. I looked up part numbers on JD parts site, and under the listing of "7000 drawn corn and cotton planter", there are part numbers for the shank that don't show up when you look up "7000 conservation" planter. There has to be some differences in all the part numbers.
