Donnellson, IA. Makes saying here easier. | Planted may 16th and 17th on mostly sand/sandy mix.....maybe some mud......we just rented. Much warmer night temps and low 80's during the day. About 3" rain since we planted. Was surprised how quick it came up for being planted 2.5" plus. Our April 23 corn is finally taking off. Chickened out then should have just kept rolling the two days ahead of the heavy rain. About 35% planted on corn about 670 to go. Forecast isn't pretty but we'll keep getting everything in order. May swap some seed this week on our further away acres to help with dry down. Probably stay corn on any acres with nitrogen on longer than we probably should.
