WC MN | It's fun to read this type of thread, as Farmertime noted above corn survives subfreezing night temps and barely thawed days "here." We would be thrilled if daytime highs stayed above 55 after corn is planted. Replants are rare here, usually from seed quality and that can be decades between events. I suppose because we are so cold crusting is not as big an issue. Emergence in less than two weeks is generally cause for excitement here. | |
