Leroy ks | Got 5” more last night 3 of it on 15 minutes. I live between colony and Leroy. I farm a lot on the neosho River.Hwy 58 west of Leroy closed. Was out there looking at my farms and looked like water was going over the highway for 3/4 mile. Can see white water cutting across the fields.
Monday afternoon helped move the mother in law out of south side of iola. Water didn’t get as hi as predicted. This morning it was a block from her house so we moved more stuff.
I planted 600 acres of corn Thursday Friday ago all upland and it’s even a wreck. One guy on west side of Leroy was moving the last of corn out of bin.Guys we’re moving hay bales to higher ground! Redmond raised gates higher at noon today to increase discharge to 35000 ft sec. more water coming from up stream and more water heading towards everybody down stream.
