| Not sure where I should put this question so if I should move it to another forum please say so
Our farm house is getting an external remodel this summer with roof, siding, and windows. My big question is with the roof
Currently there is 4 layers of shingles - wood and then 3 asphalt layers. It's a very steep roof so we're not too concerned with the weight
Should we tear off all of the old shingles and replace with new ones? Or leave everything up there and put tin over the top of it all? I've had several people suggest putting tin on top of all the old shingles shouldn't be a problem, but if we go with normal shingles all of the old ones should be removed.
Thanks for any help/suggestions! | |
