Ne Iowa | I posted a while back about my insurance company doing an inspection. Farmers mutual through Grinnell mutual. The only problem was an outside woodburner that they said was too close to the house. I contacted them and nicely stated my case why it is perfectly safe where it is. Didn't hear a work back until the cancellation notice came in the mail this morning. No trying to resolve the problem, they didn't even tell me how far from the house they wanted it moved. Been a customer at least 20 years, never missed a payment, never filed a claim. What now? Thinking of going with Farm Bureau. Do I tell them I was cancelled or is that something they will already know? It kind of bothers me when a company says they just don't want my business.
Maybe I should specify, this is a blanket farm policy. Covers my machinery, buildings, and house.
