West central IL | About how farmers should've sold when the price was high, and how their greed made them miss out on high prices...
Well the same goes for end users. They could've bought all their needs with july corn trading as low as 3.40's and new corn down in the 3.60's. Corn was on SALE! Instead all we heard was end users were just buying immediate needs because corn was so plentiful. Greed on the other side of the coin. If some farmers are idiots for not selling every early summer the passed few years when corn was 4-4.50, then these end users were idiots for not locking in a huge portion of their needs when corn seemed plentiful and cheap. Finally getting a taste of what happens when there's a weather hiccup. They've gotten lucky we've had so many years of amazing crop growing weather and despite that stocks/use never got crazy high. | |
