Subject: Corn population for late planting.

Sw. Ill
Is there any benifit to changing corn population as planting dates get later like some do with beans? Any effect to yield or dry down?
Will more plants with smaller ears dry better than fewer plants and large ears? Or the opposite? Or no difference? Just some cloudy day thoughts..
