Nw Iowa | Agree Boone, farmers have enough issues without speculating. I used to remember buying a couple of contracts on the board and worrying way more about those than rest of my production. I use the board to hedge and sometimes buy back production if basis is good but price stinks but just stay away from out and out speculating. Everybody tells you about wins but not losses. Don’t know very many people who really made much money long term from just speculating. More farms lost than bought | |
