This would be my concern. Maybe someone will chime in with some success stories, but more often than not, when a new end is added to an old hose, it fails. This is even using a bench mounted crimping machine. I have no experience with splice kits, but I’ve seen too many people come back into the dealer wanting an entire new hose made because the new end shot off the old hose.
