South Texas | I’ve been finding decent self propelled disc machines lately under $40k. Haven’t bought one yet. But add up a decent used disc moco and tractor and it isn’t any cheaper. For me the tractor wouldn’t be doing anything otherwise and I run non depreciating types with broken hour meters so might as well use them. Only thing holding me back is I’m not excited about having another thing to work on.
Lately now I’m considering going back to planting winter forages, maybe try wheat for grazing and grain, or just fling ryegrass in grass fields. Finish fencing all the hay fields and graze most of them, need more cows again. Getting tired of rough hay fields and dealing with selling the excess. | |
