SE MT | Hottest I've been on a tractor is on the old John Deere 2520 open station pulling the hay rake on a 110 degree day. The tractor would stay cool enough, but staying out there in that type of heat for more than three or four hours you could go through about three gallons of water, and needed a break. Our old sound guard deers AC seem to keep up just fine regardless of the temperature, the 7510 you may have to run on high on the hottest day, but generally when it gets over 100 degrees we don't do much baling. Not only because it's really hard on your bearings, and potential for fire is much greater , but also because those type of conditions are not conducive to putting up any type of quality hay forage. | |
