Leesburg, Ohio | 1590 best choice. 750 next. 1560 third only because of two-piece boots. 750 is harder to get full of seed because of flat top box. Tapered box on 1560 and 1590 fills full with no pushing. They all do a great job of putting seed in the ground. Seed spacing is typical for a drill, not as good as a planter. But it's a drill....not a planter.
Frequent maintenance items in descending order of repair frequency: In-furrow press wheel bearings, cast closing wheel bearings, flat boot springs.
Less frequent items after several seasons, but somewhat more expensive: Boots and blades. (Seldom need blade bearings.)
After several re-builds, might need to drill out boot mounting holes and re-pin if they are loose.
