Mid Mo | Bought a pickup at an auction several years ago. There were about 10 of the basic white Chevy 2wd work trucks from a commercial place. Paid and was ready for the keys - they were all marked white PU!!
I tried almost every set before I found one that would open both the door and turn the ignition. About half the sets would do the door OR ignition but not both.
The set that finally did work was the one marked bad tranny. There was another truck on the other end of line from mine marked bad tranny on the window and now I was starting to worry.
Later found paperwork in the truck that the tranny was rebuilt at local GM dealer 2k miles before I got it. Paid $825 with fresh Tran and new a/c and put 100k miles on it. | |
