Isn't that the same futures price risk that guys take planting a late $3.80 fall cash corn crop at >$100 below breakeven cost takes, minus mudding up the planter and hoping it rains all summer, and drying grain in the fall, and hoping it doesn't frost early?

I've weighed my decisions and hedging my PP with ZC futures seems much less risk vs (what appears to be here to be the next earliest date) planting June 20 corn.  I agree, uncertain times and to each their own.
