Southeast Colorado | I think a lot of guys should really explore this option. Tearing up equipment to plant a shorter season lower yielding wet crop will definitely come with a higher cost of production. If you really pencil it out and see that it is going to cost you more than $4/bushel to produce this crop than buying it on the board makes way too much sense. I realize cash rents and other factors could really mess this plan up. | |
