My bad June 25th it is. Now that makes it a lot more iffy for taking that option. If I could slug them in the 25th with a good forecast ahead 30-40 would be doable. MFP payment would have to apply for me to do that. I wonder if you could plant them and call them a cover crop and if they make it harvest them. Sort of like taking a provisional shot in golf. Probably not as you have to certify before then.


At a PP meeting last night the guy specified several times that you absolutely cannot use corn or soybeans as a cover crop and harvest it.

FYI, they also call cutting corn for silage harvesting in this situation.
