North Central Illinois | I'm not in a situation here where I will consider PP until it is the very last option which will be a few weeks off yet. With our level of insurance coverage and APH's is makes far more sense to plant the crop and hope for the best even on owned ground. It still might come to that but I hope not. If I were in a position where I was seriously considering PP because it made the most sense for my operation the MFP would not change my mind one way or the other. If PP is really what will work best and truly your only real option what difference does $60 an acre make? Just my thoughts but I think people are overestimating what impact the MFP payment will have on planted acres. | |
