I'm not sure what Michigan's status is with medical pot, but taking an edible made from the plant oil will help with sleep. I had a kidney stone removed and was prescribed two weeks worth of opioids. I took three pills and decided that wasn't for me. I stuck it out but occasionally would take an edible before bed.
