South Carolina | Yes it does speed up the pump quite a bit
2 things to be sure of
Oil in gearbox -if it has been sitting sideways or worse ,oil can leak from vent
Good support so that PTO shaft does not carry weight of pump- this causes wear mostly to pump coupler and will make it nearly impossible to keep tight
Soon you will have some vibration that can cause all sorts of problems
I actually use a block of wood bolted to the metal support to cushion and support
Mine uses hydraulic oil
