If your in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Iowa....then yes. I'm happy with $275 PP on corn if its after June 1 at 65% coverage. And by the time we are done with beans it will be after June 10 or so. Hardly worth going back to put those acres in to beans after June 10. And our units are enterprised so we get paid on every pothole that is + .5 acres. I know several other farmers who do the same. Thus if white shadow is correct and most of us in the Dakotas will not plant past May 25 then expect record PP in the Dakotas. That's at least 4 million acres right there...in two states. What about the rest of the country? In a normal year I would struggle to get 100% planted. I will call it planted because of the 2 year rule but this year is the year I will not risk planting beyond what i can get in before June 1. I'll make PP work for me.
