Madison Co. Virginia | First thing that came to my mind was cannibalize a pintle hitch. Mount the top half of it to the tractor drawbar, so when in the closed position, it locks down on the hitch pin.
I'm not sure what you meant by "top lock", but if you simply want to lock a hitch pin in place, it's a whole lot simpler to just use the hair pin that came with the hitch pin. If you don't care for that, drill the hole in the hitch pin big enough that you can install a lynch pin. | |
