We all want to know what that means. I assume it means planted, and not including prevent planted, acres.
As far as the county-specific calculation, who knows. My county is probably fairly close to a 50/50 corn soybean rotation, so if the per-acre calculation is based on $2/bu beans and a 60-bu County bean yield every two years, maybe we qualify for up to ~$60 on those acres that get planted. Of course, our bean basis only got hammered 30-50 cents on beans, instead of $1-1.50 like the Dakotas. So maybe we get $15/ac and the Dakotas get $100/acre. Who knows how this works out.
