Wife was just looking at a new commuter to replace her 2011 Ford Escape.
We have never leased a car before, but thought we should be open to all offers as many incentives seem added to lease and not purchase.
She found an interesting GM lease rate on 2019 GMC Terrain and Chev Equinox.
She is just interested in lower end models and Front WD as she just needs a commuter for work.
Wow what amazes me is the low end Terrain is a 1.5 liter Turbo engine with a 9 speed tranny.....(Chev may be 6 speed?)
(this unproven, small engine, turbo, 9 speed setup is an other reason we looked at shorter term leasing.....drive train is new and complicated so may not be reliable)
She drove it and found it to be adequately powered, fairly nice handling and quite.
She also spoke with people who were satisfied with the fuel economy.
I did a search on site and never saw any comments on this particular engine/transmission drive train.
Anyone with any experiences on the new redesign of these models?
Or should we look elsewhere? What do you suggest?
