I've also heard you can run a cold one off your hot water heater depending on the temp to cut the grease almost as good as a hot water pressure washer.
I was told that running hot water through the pump will take out the seals real fast. I think most hot water washers run the water through the pump before it is heated.
As long as your water temp is below 100F, I see no issues. I do this all the time with my cheap-O Ryobi home depot washer. Hasnt failed yet. Have on demand water heater with very controllable temp, so its easy I guess.
I wouldnt want to wash with much hotter than 90-100 anyway, when I turn it up, its just hard on paint blasting away that hot.
