On the fertilizer openers? Sounds like aftermarket add on to me. We bought ours new in '98 and I don't remember any poly wear guards in the White literature for the planters. I think Ausherman (sp) had a skid plate on their fertilizer opener back then - we rented a planter with them on it in the early '90's.
