We have one of similar design. I can't say it works for rye grass seed, but it works pretty good for pigeon grass out of oats or barley. Seems like it needs to be an "extreme" in two different seed sizes. Won't take hulls, chaff or grasshoppers out of oats or barley. They maybe have their place, but NOTHING beats a shaker type cleaner. Can't tell you a bushel/hour amount. We were running the auger slow to try and get it clean. It could do better if you could set up a variable speed fan for the chaff and occasional bigger stuff. My opinion.
