Subject: Spring Flush Milk

SW Wisconsin
What am I not seeing? When I read this what I see is that processors should be drowning right now, and they’re happy with the milk supply they have, definitely not drowning.

Edit since it cut the picture off: 2017 spot milk prices were average $4.50 under order, as low as $6 under. 2018 average this week was $3 under, this last week average was flat order price, range +$2 to -$2. I’m sure with the crazy spring the peak flush is a little late, but that depends more on calving dates than pasture, and cows don’t wait for the weatherman to calve. Milk is going to be as short as feed come late summer and fall.
