C IL
If it’s still wet all of June, with very few beans planted overall, maybe.

Last day to file that corn PP claim is 3 days after the late planting period, pretty sure it is 20 days on IL. So you can start those beans on June 25 here in Central IL and not finalize that PP decision until the 28th.

And you have to insure the bean crop, so pay a second premium. But you are down 5% on your guarantee right out of the gate.

So ... maybe it’s a no brainer for you. I ran Excel most of the day and I’m thinking it’s a field by field decision. Corn PP on fields that need tiled this summer, probably a winner right now. The corn fields that aren’t planted are the wetter, lower-lying ones and it’s not fun to replant muddy wet holes with more beans in July.
