I tend to agree. Also won’t reduce your aph with taking Prevent Plant like you likely would by planting late. The big downside as I see it is losing out on any market appreciation stemming from this epic weather event. Probably buy the board, or call options??


Had a meeting with agent today. Here if you take PP then you pay 55% premium, get 55% of your selected coverage, and they plug in 60% of your APH in so you DO take an APH hit. If you take PP then plant a different crop you only get 35% payout.

We have 20 days after the final plant date on corn and 25 days on beans. 1% deduction each day.
