NE Iowa | I'm currently installing a new controller on the dryer. If I can get a router to it, I can monitor the dryer from my phone. I have two options.....1) I can have the phone company trench in an internet line directly to the dryer and pay for a second service. I really don't want to use this option if I can avoid it. Or, 2) I can try to use a WI-FI repeater / extender / antennae and shoot the signal to the dryer from the house. It's about 150'. But, I've heard that there are systems that are capable of shooting this far, as long as it has line of sight.
Has anyone done this? Any recommendations on the type of system to use? Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated!
