I am a life long CIH guy and just last summer bought a JD9460R (because I am livid at what it cost me to rebuild my 3000 hour 12.9 Iveco) to use on a Brent 1396 Grain Cart and 45 ft. soil finisher. It pulls the 1300 bu. cart ok but kinda short on the finisher. I don't hardly ever drive it but the hired men really like the comfort of it, my complaint comes at FUEL consumption. It is a absolute pig. On the finisher it will use at least 25% more than a red one and has less power. We have tried everything, absolutely all filters are new and it still loves fuel.

Off topic but what happened to your 12.9 and what size tractor was it in? Ours has about 5,500 hours on it. It's a Steiger 400. Seems to have been a great tractor and I see you can buy new engines (not rebuilt) for $29,000.
