NW Indiana | I think that is the issue, it is so hard to come up with a yield estimate at this point. If you are short I imagine you could make an argument that upper 170's is still possible. The last couple years still had problem areas and it happened. If you are long I would think you could make a fair argument for something in the upper 160's. 10 bushel difference in yield is a big difference to carryout. Factor in corn PP estimates probably range from 2-8 million and the trade has a lot to digest for price discovery. The market can still buy acres if enough start leaning towards the lower production total. It doesn't surprise me in the least price is just now reacting. | |
