Subject: Its not the first time river levels have disrupted delivery

E.Central MN
A couple years ago my trucker was saying he'd haul our grain, but if the river terminal(Savage) opened for delivery then he had a bunch of loads to haul that were already past their delivery time. The terminal was only open for certain hours and certain days that year, both high river levels and low river levels caused problems. I don't think there was any effort by the terminal to get out of the contracts, I think they even brought in some unit trains to take some of the grain. Without the ethanol plants and shuttle loaders we'd be up the creek when Mother Nature wreaks her havoc on the river shipping system.
