North Central Illinois | Yes, that is an excellent way to look at it. We’ve had five or six really good crops in a row around here. Looks like it is our turn to take one for the team this year. Those years when we had good springs places out west and north were struggling to get in the field. This year we are struggling east of the Mississippi while those out west are almost finished planting. We haven’t had a disaster that seriously impacted the national crop size since 2012. I’m not ready to say 2019 is going to be a disaster either. It’s hard not to think like that when we are in the middle of the soup but there are places that are doing a lot better than us. | |
