I would disagree and the market told us what was the anchor on beans yesterday.
Now if we were able to sell beans into China maybe then ASF would matter.
Was told brand new hog barns are being built at the rate of 4 million head capacity each week in China. The new barns are like 7 stories high and each site will have a Kill house and freezer facility on site. Fresh Pork is a thing of the past for the majority of Chinese. old facilities are being converted into Bird facilities. The small 10 hog farm is being wiped out and that was one of the advantages the government expected once this started.
I think they may have miscalculated how easy it spread.
RIN Wavers is the anchor on corn.
I am bullish corn just not to the $5.50 range because of these factors
China tariff soy because they can, world stocks, less demand, asf isn't being controlled so I don't know how they can repopulate integrated systems, some were built 2-3 years ago, so not sure how many new ones they are building either. they can't just wave a magic wand and have a bunch of breeding stock appear, without risk of asf???????????. there are a lot of pieces to the puzzle, not just political. |
