Donnellson, IA. Makes saying here easier.
Finally got to do some field work. Started the day mowing rye and that held the tractor well enough I decided to strip till. 77 acres going to corn. Beings I don't want to wait to plant behind it. We ran urea and the p&k in the strip. 70 acres of it wasn't too bad. 5 acres had absolutely no dust. 2 acres I thought hmmm......wtf am i doing this for exactly. But with the forecast I'll take my chances. We only have two fields close to dry. The rest maybe next time around. We bought a second planter to speed things up, but apparently it didn't help us miss two unforeseen rains. Hillside seeps were the issue today. Those won't go away til mid summer now.
