Subject: NAP coverage for Soybeans in MT

montana hiline
I called FSA office today to hear if it was true.
For $8.50 per acre I could get coverage for 25 bushel per acre Soybeans at 10 dollars per bushel. I have up May 24 to get planted.
Soybeans just don't work here it's been tried. Nights to cold, season to short and no enough moisture. So planting them would be purely farming for the crop insurance.
I'm not going to do it but I know some will, just seems wrong to me.
