Have a John Deere 1795 with new 16" OEM no-till cutters, and approx 14 3/4" to 14 7/8" disc openers. The no-till cutters are adjusted all the way up, and with the main bar level, the cutters are still running 1/2" deeper than the openers. I would like to see the no-till cutters 1/2" shallower than the disc openers. I can raise the 3pt hitch, make the bar high in the front, and get the cutters about even with the openers, but do not like it. Why with the bar level, can I not get the cutters shallower than the openers? Deere dealer has no idea. They suggested taking them off or dealing with it. Only option I see is taking off the new cutters, and replacing them with half wore cutters. What am I missing here???

Bad news bud I have been down that road. Might as well light the $11k on fire. Deere should be taken to the woodshed over this. I have a 16/31 1795 and I fought it last year and just took them all off. I have messed with them and put washers under the bottom bolts of the mounts to kick the bottom of the bracket up but then it looses clearance. They are to big in my opinion

It is a terrible design. Sorry I have nothing positive to say about them.
