Subject: RE: Transfer pumps

Jackson County, AL

Some models may but we've never had a Pacer made that way, ever.  Did I say ever?  Generally everything else would hold up besides that seal.  We just got a cast iron John Blue with a gap just for that reason.  Huge bone pile of Briggs engines and Pacer pumps.  Since we've started buying Hondas about 12 years ago we've added to both piles but have yet to add a Honda engine.  As a rule, if Pacer can't make a very important seal hold up on a close-coupled pump, how will they treat a seal on a pump with a gap?  We are done with Pacer for good.  It may be a Larry the Cable Guy moment in the future when we're saying "So there we were buying another Pacer pump..."
